Abstract
Legend or mythology is the product and culture of any nation, which has ancient roots and is directly related to the human mind. This in itself is a kind of analysis of all phenomena that one did not understand. He has tried to interpret things irrationally. That is, it was based on imagination, which involved miracles. According to the sources, Kurdistan was an ancient civilization of Upper Mesopotamia, then moved to Lower Mesopotamia, which was the source of various legends, history, religion and culture.
From the very beginning of creation, man has always wanted to understand himself, the world, the universe and his surroundings. Although, myth is different from science, religion and history, there are similarities between them. Myths help to create a common awareness and sense of (history, values, beliefs, sacredness and traditions). At the same time, myths become a means of expressing and preserving social memories and experiences within a nation. Through mythology, we reach Kurdish culture and what is more important than mythology for collecting cultural wealth and preserving it from extinction and reviving language, which is due to the use of ancient original words in Kurdish mythology.

ئەفسانە یاخود میتۆلۆژیا بەرهەم و کەلەپووری هەر نەتەوەیەکە، کە ڕەگ و ڕیشەیەکی کۆنی هەیە و ڕاستەوخۆ پەیوەندی بە ئەقڵی مرۆڤەوە هەیە. ئەمەش خۆی لە خۆیدا، جۆریکە لە شیکردنەوە تێڕامان بەرامبەر بە هەموو ئەو دیاردانەی مرۆڤ تێی نەدەگەیشت. ئیتر هەوڵیداوە بەشێوەیەکی نائەقڵانی، لێکدانەوە بۆ شتەکان بکات. واتا لە سەر بنەمای خەیاڵکردنبووە، کە خۆی لە موعجیزە ئاڵاندوە. بەپێی سەرچاوەکان، کوردستانیش وەک ناوچەیەکی شارستانیەتی کۆنی میزۆپۆتامیای سەروو بووە، دواتر بۆ میزۆپۆتامیا خواروو گواستراوەتەوە، کە سەرچاوەی سەرهەڵدانی چەندین ئەفسانەی جۆراوجۆرە و مێژوو و ئاین و کولتوور بووە.
مرۆڤ هەر لەسەرەتای دروستبوونیەوە، خۆی وەک ئەفسانەساز بووە، کە هەمیشە ویستوویەتی لەو ڕێگەیەوە لە خودی خۆی و جیهان و گەردوون و چواردەوری خۆی تێبگات. هەرچەندە، ئەفسانە جیاوازە لەگەڵ زانست و ئاین و مێژوو، بەڵام لێکچوون لە نێوانیاندا هەیە. ئەفسانە یارمەتیدەرە بۆ دروستبوونی هوشیاری و هەستێکی هاوبەش بۆ (مێژوو، بەهاکان، بیروباوەڕەکان، پیرۆزییەکان و نەریتەکان). هاوکات ئەفسانەکان دەبنە ئامرازێک بۆ دەربڕین و پاراستنی یادەوەری و ئەزموونە کۆمەڵایەتییەکان لەناو نەتەوەیەکدا. هەر لەڕێگەی ئەفسانە، دەگەینە کولتووری کوردی و چ شتێک لە ئەفسانە گرنگ ترە بۆ کۆکردنەوە و سەروەت و سامانی کولتوور و پارێزگاری کردنی لە فەوتان و زیندووکردنەوەی زمان، کە بەهۆی بەکارهێنانی وشەی ڕەسەنی کۆن لە ئەفسانەی کوردیدا.
