Abstract
This study investigated the effect of using mind mapping strategy on academic achievement and visual thinking of eighth-grade students in geography. To achieve study objectives, researcher formulated three null hypotheses. A quasi-experimental design with equivalent groups was employed, comprising an experimental group taught using mind mapping strategy and a control group taught using conventional method. Pre-test and post-test were administered for visual thinking variable, while post-test was used for achievement variable. Study population consisted of all eighth-grade students in the primary schools of Kalar during the 2024-2025 academic year, encompassing 38 schools. Study sample was selected from "Walat" primary school, totaling 48 students who were divided into experimental (24 students) and control (24 students) groups, after excluding repeating students. The researcher ensured equivalence of two study groups regarding variables: parents' educational level, age, intelligence, previous year's grades, prior knowledge, and visual thinking pre-test scores. Two instruments were used: an achievement test with 30 multiple-choice items based on Bloom's Taxonomy levels 1-3, and a visual thinking test with 30 items. The reliability coefficients were 0.91 for the achievement test and 0.88 for the visual thinking test. Upon completion of experimental period, researcher analyzed collected data using statistical methods including T-test and Chi-square. The findings revealed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of experimental and control groups on both achievement and visual thinking tests, in favor of experimental group. At study conclusion, researcher presented findings along with recommendations for relevant stakeholders and suggestions for future researchers.

ئامانجی توێژینەوەکە بریتییە لە زانینی کاریگەری بەکارهێنانی ستراتیژی نەخشە هزرییەکان لەسەر دەستکەوتی خوێندن و بیرکردنەوەی بینینی لە بابەتە کۆمەڵایەتییەکان-جوگرافیا لای خوێندکارانی پۆلی هەشتەمی بنەڕەتی. بۆ سەلماندنی ئامانجەکان توێژەر سێ گریمانەی سفری داڕشتووە.
توێژەر دیزاینی ئەزموونی گروپی هاوسەنگی بەکارهێنا، کە دوو گروپ لەخۆدەگرێت، گروپی ئەزموونی کە بەپێی ستراتیژی نەخشە هزرییەکان وانەیان دەخوێند و گروپی کۆنترۆڵکراو کە بەڕێگای ئاسایی وانەیان دەخوێند، بە تاقیکردنەوەی پێشی و پاشی بۆ گۆڕاوی بیرکردنەوەی بینینی و تاقیکردنەوەی پاشی بۆ دەستکەوت.
کۆمەڵگەی توێژینەوەکە بریتییە لە خوێندکارانی پۆلی هەشتەمی بنەڕەتی لە قوتابخانە بنەڕەتییەکانی کەلار بۆ ساڵی خوێندنی (٢٠٢٤-٢٠٢٥)، کە ژمارەیان (٣٨) قوتابخانە بوو، نموونەی توێژینەوە قوتابخانەی (وڵات)ی بنەڕەتی بوو کە (48) خوێندکاربوون، دابەشکران بۆ: گروپی ئەزموونی (٢٤) و گروپی کۆنترۆڵکراو (٢٤) خوێندکار ، دوای دورخستنەوەی کەوتووەکان.
توێژەر هەردوو گروپەكەی هاوسەنگکرد لە گۆڕاوەکانی (ئاستی خوێندەواری دایک و باوک، تەمەن، زیرەکی، نمرەی پارساڵ، زانیاری پێشینە، تاقیکردنەوەی پێشی بیرکردنەوەی بینینی).
لە توێژینەوەکەدا دوو ئامراز بەکارهات: تاقیکردنەوەی دەستکەوت (٣٠ )بڕگەی هەڵبژاردن لە چەند دانەیەك بەپێی سێ ئاستی بلوم:(ناسینەوە، تێگەیشتن، جێبەجێکردن)، و تاقکردنەوەی بیرکردنەوەی بینینی (٣٠ بڕگە). ڕادەی جێگیری ئامرازەکان (٠,٩١) بۆ دەستکەوتی خوێندن و (٠,٨٨) بۆ بیرکردنەوەی بینینی بوو.
دوای تەواوبوونی ماوەی ئەزموونەکە، توێژەر هاوکۆلکە ئامارییەکانی وەک تاقیکردنەوەی تایی (T.test) و کای سکوێر بەکارهێنا بۆ شیکردنەوەی داتاکان.
ئەنجامەکان دەریانخست کە جیاوازی ماناداری ئاماری هەیە لە نێوان ناوەندەژمێری نمرەی خوێندکارانی گروپی ئەزموونی و کۆنترۆڵکراو لە هەردوو تاقیکردنەوەکەدا لە بەرژەوەندی گروپی ئەزموونی.
لە کۆتایی توێژینەوەکەدا توێژەر دەرئەنجامەکانی خستەڕوو لەگەڵ کۆمەڵە ڕاسپاردەیەک بۆ لایەنی پەیوەندیدار و پێشنیازێک بۆ توێژەرانی داهاتوو.
