Abstract
Water is one of the most valuable natural resources for all living organisms. The importance of water in terms of drinking water and its uses for human life has led environmental researchers to constantly research it, because it is directly related to human health. on this regard, our research is entitled (Drinking water resources and population demand in Kalar city) and we have divided it into three main parts: The first part is the physical and human characteristic of Kalar city, the second part is The aim of this study is to identify and showcase the water resources available, as well as the methods for supplying adequate potable water to the residents of Kalar city. Additionally, it involves comparing these provisions with Iraqi and international standards, which is crucial for developing both short- and long-term strategies to adapt to the city's growth and the expected increase in its population. the daily water demands and sources of water supply for the population according to standards. The last part is future population growth and their drinking water demand. Based on a study using current data and projections for Kalar city's annual growth, there will be an issue with water scarcity in the future. Therefore, necessary measures should be implemented to prevent a shortage of clean drinking water.

ئاو یەکێکە لەدەرامەتە سروشتییە پڕ بەهاکان بۆ هەموو زیندەوەران، گرنگى ئاو لەڕووى شیاوى خواردنەوەو بەکارهێنانەکانى بۆ ژیان مرۆڤ وایکردووە بەردەوام توێژەرانى بوارى ژینگە توێژینەوەى لەسەر بکەن، چونکە ڕاستەوخۆ پەیوەندى بەتەندروستى مرۆڤەوە هەیە، لەم ڕوەوە توێژینەوەکەمان بە ناونیشانی (سەرچاوەكانی ئاوی خواردنەوە وتوانای دابینكردنی پێداویستی دانیشتوان لە شاری كەلار ) داناوە و دابەشمانكردوە بەسەر سێ تەوەرى سەرەکیدا، تەوەرى یەکەم تایبەتمەندی ژینگەى سروشتى و مرۆیی شارى کەلار، تەوەرى دووەم توێژنەوەکە بە مەبەستى زانین و خستنەڕووى سەرچاوەکانى ئاو و چۆنێتى دابینکردنى بڕى ئاوى شیاوى خواردنەوەیە بۆ دانیشتوان لەشاری کەلاردا و بەراوردکردنى بە ستانداردە عێراقى و جیهانییەکان، ئەمەش گرنگە بۆ دانانى پلانى نزیک و دوور مەودا بۆ گونجاندن لەنێوان فراوانبوونى شارو زۆربوونى ژمارەى دایشتوان لە داهاتوودا لەگەل بڕى ئاوى پێویستى ڕۆژانە و تونای سەرچاوەکان لە دابینکردنى بڕى ئاوى پێویست بۆ دانیشتوان بەپێی ستانداردەکان ، تەوەری سێیەم : گەشەى دانیشتوان و چربونەوەیان لە ناو شار و قەبارەى بڕى ئاوی پێویست بۆ داهاتوو لەشارى کەلارلەنێوان ساڵانى (2040 – 2025)دا.
بەپێی ئەو لێکۆڵینەوانەی کە لەسەر بنەماى داتای ئێستا و پێشبینکردن بۆ گەشەى ساڵانەی شاری کەلار ئەنجام دراوە، لەداهاتوودا گرفتى کەم ئاوى دروست ئەبێت بۆیە لە ئێستاوە دەبێت رێوشوێنی پێویست بگیرێتە بەر بۆ رێگری کردنی لە سەرهەردانی قەیرانی کەمی ئاوی پاکی خواردنەوە.
