Abstract
This research is a historical, political, and factual study of the factors that shaped the way for publishing the Kirkuk Newspaper after the 1991. It's concentrating on Southern Kurdistan from the perspectives and concerns of displaced Kurds from Kirkuk and their distribution across the cities of the Kurdistan Region as a result of the Iraqi government’s policies of displacement, Arabization, militarization, and also discusses the newspaper’s role in portraying the realities of those Kurds who had been deported from Kirkuk and other disputed areas under Iraqi government control. This newspaper, founded in 1999, was a part of the efforts of the Enlightenment Organization and the Kirkuk Cultural-Social Association, in cooperation with the High Committee of the Displaced, and served as an important press and cultural platform for documenting the concerns and sufferings of the people of Kirkuk, while also reflecting their voices in defense of and resistance to the Kurdish identity of the city.
The study highlights the role of the Kirkuk Newspaper as a tool and a medium for political awareness, enlightenment, and Kurdish resistance. Writers and intellectuals actively contributed on exposing the oppressive policies of (Ba’athist) authority, raising international awareness and consciousness against attempts to erase Kurdish existence and deny their rights. Until 2013, the newspaper continued to play a significant historical, political, and media role in monitoring political changes and the unique situation of Kirkuk. The research specifically examines the goals, purposes, factors, and perspectives that contributed to the newspaper’s continuity.

ئەم توێژینەوەیە بەدواداچوون بۆ ئەو پاشخانە مێژوویی و سیاسییە و ئەو فاکتەرانە دەکات کە وایکرد گۆڤاری کەرکوک لە دوای ڕاپەڕینی ساڵی ١٩٩١ی باشووری کوردستان دەربچێت . بە ئامانجی خستنەڕوو وگوزارشتکردن لە نەهامەتی و ئازاری کوردانی ئاوارەبووی کەرکوک و بڵاوبوونەوەیان لە سەرانسەری هەرێمی کوردستان لە ئەنجامی سیاسەتەکانی ڕاگواستن و بەعەرەبکردن و بەعسکردن لە لایەن ڕژێمی عێراقەوە. تیشک دەخاتە سەر ڕۆڵی گۆڤارەکە لە بەڵگەنامەکردنی واقیعی کارەساتباری کورد لە کەرکوک و ناوچەجێناکۆکەکان،لەچوار چێوەی هەوڵەکانی گروپێک لە ڕووناکبیرانی کەرکوک و بەپاڵپشتی کۆمەڵەی ڕووناکبیری و کۆمەڵایەتی پارێزگای کەرکوک و، بە هاوکاری لیژنەی باڵای ئاوارەکان، وەک سەکۆیەکی میدیایی و ڕۆشنبیری گرنگ بۆ بەڵگەنامەکردنی کارەساتەکان و پاراستنی ناسنامەی کوردایەتی شارەکە. هەروەها لە لێکۆڵینەوەکەدا باس لە ڕۆڵی گۆڤاری کەرکوک دەکرێت وەک ئامرازێک بۆ هۆشیاری سیاسی و ڕۆشنگەری کولتووری، بەشداری نووسەران و ڕۆشنبیران لە ئاشکراکردنی سیاسەتەکانی ڕژێمی بەعس و گەیاندنیان بە ڕای گشتی و بنیاتنانی هۆشیارییەکی دەستەجەمعی کە بەرەنگاری هەوڵەکانی سڕینەوەی ناسنامەی کورد دەبێتەوە.هاودەم بەردەوام بوونی گۆڤارەکە لەمیانی ساڵانی(١٩٩٩-٢٠١٣).
ئاماژەیەکی مێژوویی و سیاسی و میدیایی بۆ چاودێریکردنی ئەو گۆڕانکارییانەی لە کەرکوک ڕوودەدەن، لە هەمان کاتدا شیکردنەوەی ئامانجەکانی و ئەو هۆکارانەی کە بەشداربوون لە پەرەسەندن و بەردەوامبوونیدا.
